Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

Finally! I'm reading again! Do you know why? Why'd it happen? Thanks to KCC Mall de Zamboanga, because they brought the first National Bookstore here in Zamboanga City.
I'm a massive bookworm back when I was in highschool, but when I already went to college here in Zamboanga, I just kinda lost it because there weren't any available book-bookstore just like the National Bookstore. But the point is, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll is the first novel (or classic literature) that I ever read after two years of living here in the Philippines. Hooray!

November Favourites

TV Shows & Movies
TV Show: Supergirl
This show was premiered last Oct 26, 2015 but the pilot episode was leaked online last July. So I've been really loving this show mainly because it promotes girl power that we girls can also be strong like men. Melissa Benoist is one of my girl crushes, I fell inlove with her since she showed up on Glee before so I was literally jumping when I found out that she's casting Supergirl, the character really suits her. Great choice CBS!

Adele - Hello

Seriously though, how amazing is this?!

I was scrolling through YouTube because that's what I do most of the time on the internet. And I came across this which was just uploaded 18 hours ago and I was like, what the hell 12M views, this must be something. And I did, and I was amused and amazed because the song and the act is so powerful like Adele is really speaking for herself, she was natural here. And it's amazing. She really has a phenomenal voice, no wonder a lot of people love her. Now, I'm a fan, yes I'm a fan. Well, I've already listened to her songs back then until I got outdated about her, and here she comes again shining.

Pretty Little Liars: #FAceToFace

Yes finally, I've already watch the summer finale of Pretty Little Liars Season 6. The episode was a boom, surprise there, surprise here. Shock faces there, shock faces here. The first time I watch it, I was in total shock and happy that finally we already know who -A is after 5 years. And after all that Cece have done to the liars, I didn't got mad, coz every thing she did was because she wants to get closer to her family and just because of the stupid game.
But then, I wanted to watch it again because I wanna understand the entire episode. And guess what? I'VE GOT LOTS OF QUESTIONS. I think Cece isn't the real -A, she's Charles/Charlotte/Charlie, one of those people that wanted to victimize the girls especially Ali, but in less alarming way coz she's got quite appropriate reasons after all. Let's be honest, lots of them hates Ali when she was still that real stubborn beeyotch.
WHO THE HELL IS SARA HARVEY? Her character wasn't explained very well.
WHERE DID SHE CAME FROM? WHY WAS SHE FOLLOWING THE GIRLS?
Sara and Cece met accidentally, they weren't related until they've actually met in that forest. So I think Sara's still got secret or hatred on the liars before Cece happened. Maybe Ali did something bad to Sara before (in some way) that she doesn't remember anymore, because hey it's Ali, she has done lots of things in her life.
AS FAR AS I KNOW, -A WAS ALREADY BOTHERING ALI AND SHE WAS ALREADY RECEIVING THREAT MESSAGES FROM -A BEFORE SHE DIED (or went lost). And Cece doesn't have anything to do with it, because she's in Radley and Ali wasn't dead yet, coz Cece only started being -A when her mom finally decided not to let her out of Radley because she thinks it's what's best for everybody because she thought that Cece killed Ali, right? Right? Then eventually Mona came along, speaking of Mona, she hates Ali since from the beginning and even tempted to kill her but hit Bethany instead. She hates Ali because Ali was bullying her coz she was a weirdo nerd before. So I think, the first -A was really Mona, or she's the real -A. Everything is possible in this show.

I also have this assumption in my head that maybe there are lots of -A (Team A) because Ali has done lots of rude things to unknown amounts of people in Rosewood. Cece, Sara, and Mona were one of them. Let's mention Jenna, Melissa and that guy who were Mona's bestie before, (but he already left the show, or hasn't yet, like Cece, we thought she was gone then came back with the role of Charles Dilaurentis.) and others.

Wait, were the moms still stuck in the basement? Haha!
AND WHO IS "HE"? Is he another character from previous seasons? Or new?
Oh PLL, you never fail to leave me with lots of questions that haven't answered clearly.
And Mrs. Rolle-what? New character? Ali is a Mrs.?
WHO'S EXCITED FOR 5YEARSFORWARD OF PLL?! MEEEE!
I love this show so much! I'm a PLL addict, lol.

Those are my super girl crushes for this month, here in the Philippines. Most of them are regular celebrities in Kapamilya (ABS-CBN). I know this is something new (again) in my blog, because firstly I would love to look back and see who were my girl crushes back then. And secondly, I'm just being nosy.  And last but not the least and is a bit irrelevant reason, I just want to blog and I have nothing to blog about my life at this moment. So I've decided to share with you my current girl crushes from Philippines. Booyeaah!

To All The Boys I've Loved Before & PS I Still Love You -Jenny Han

(kelsey-jeanette1)
Since the feels of these books are still fresh, I gotta have to blog it. But first, OMG! I love these books too much that I think I am really on the track of YA contemporary books. Will read a lot of 'em in the future, of course if I have spare time because y'know college exist in my life right now.

I will attempt to not spoil much even though I really want to spill everything in here.
I need to be more considerate for those of you haven't read these. But if you already did, high-five!

To All The Boys I've Loved Before is a one familiar story I've already read before and this was She's Dating The Gangster which was made into a movie starring Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo here in the Philippines. But don't get too irritated that I spilled a spoil. Don't worry because there are lots of twists in the story. And everything was fascinating.

"To All The Boys I've Loved Before is the story of Lara Jean, who has never openly admitted her crushes, but instead wrote each boy a letter about how she felt, sailed it, and hid in a box under her bed. But one day Lara Jean discovers that somehow her secret box of letters has been mailed, causing all her crushes from her past to confront her abou tthe letters: her first kiss, the boy from summer camp, even her sister's  ex boyfriend, Josh.As she learns to deal with her past loves face to face, Lara Jean discovers that something good may come out of these letters after all."

PS: I Still Love You is the second book of To All The Boys I've Loved Before. And the story goes on, lots of drama, LOTS of kilig moments, lots of hatred towards Genevieve, and lots of hugot lines as well which I loved the most.

"Lara Jean didn't expect to really fall for Peter. She and Peter were just pretending. Except suddenly they weren't. Now Lara Jean is more confused than ever. When another boy from her past returns to her life, Lara Jean's feelings for him return too. Can a girl be in love with two boys at once?"

I would rate these books as 8/10, because after all those kilig moments and I loved the story so much, some parts are predictable because some parts are kind of common. But this is an amazing book that you definitely need to read.

Paano Ba 'To?

As I grow up every day, there are things that are still confusing and sometimes I just want a guide that I'm willing to adapt. I found out that Bianca Gonzales, the famous Pinoy Big Brother host, release a book about how to survive growing up. I really wanted to buy this especially that this is the first book I'm reading with this kind of genre, and I've heard so many positive reviews about it. So when I had a chance to buy it back when I was still in Davao, I took the opportunity to buy it.

This book consists of different kinds of content that gives you advises towards your lifestyle or the people around you. The topics are Family, Friendship, Love, Career & Money, Failures, Fashion & Beauty, Purpose, and Self. There are also famous people in showbiz industry that wrote bits of advises that are very helpful, and I love it when these people actually being human then give stories that are more inspirational than what they show on screen. At this moment, I'm rereading some of the topics for me to choose which are my faves, but I can't choose any of them because I honestly love them all. But there's this thing that catches my attention, these are the quotes that are written typographically and beautifully.

"How do I deal with pressure from my parents?

Sobra na mag-selfie ang kaibigan ko, paano ko siya sasabihan?

Wala pa rin akong boyfriend. Should I worry?

Magkano ba talaga dapat savings ko?

How do I get clear skin?

How will I figure out my "purpose" in life?

Paano ba maging mas confident?

Ikaw ba ay nalilito, hindi alam ang gagawin, o di kaya'y nag-aalangan sa next steps mo? In this book, TV host, editor, and columnist Bianca Gonzalez shares her personal life lessons, as well as insights from friends and experts, on how to deal with life's dilemmas—a must-have guide to life for every young Pinay growing up in this crazy, wonderful world."

Grab a copy of this book in your nearby National Bookstore or online at Amazon.

Flight Carry On

Yes guys! It's true, I'm going on a trip to Davao. Of course, you need to have a carry on or luggage. This is a new theme of blog, me showing you what's in my carry on/hand bag and my luggage. I know you already have an idea what's in my luggage, pure clothes and shoes and other stuff I will need for my enough days of stay in, although I still have no specific date on when I will come back here in Zamboanga. So this is my luggage which I bought back when I was still in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This has been my baby since last year, and it's still staying strong thankfully.
This bag was my Mom's and she wasn't using it, so I borrowed it and I think I'm owning it. The basic thing I like the most about this bag is its color, cream! It's so simple and easy to carry because it has two straps, for shoulder and arm handling. If I want to be quite fashionable, I would wear it on my arm. And when I'm on a casual day, of course I would wear it on my shoulder which is very comfyy and easyy.

I have this mini make up bag (from IKEA) which includes some of things that would freshen me up when Philippines' pollution shoved my face up and turned it into a miserable piece of trash. So, I have Jergen's lotion, Nivea creme, Pond's BB cream, Natasha's clear mascara, Essence's Waterproof mascara, A's cream blusher, Max Factor's lipstick, A's liquid lipstick, and Natasha's lip balm. Alright I know you would say "Oh my gosh, Fahda has gone girly. Wtf hahaha" but whatever though, it's just someday you as well will need these. Or maybe you won't if you're a guy.

Out of my mini make up bag, I also have things that I will call a "girly thing". 1st Pharma Alcohol is a must, or any kind, but if you're a girl you MUST have an alcohol, you might touch things that contain pure germs and this is the time that alcohol came up very handy. Alcohol will save you in different kind of things though. So girl, grab an alcohol now in a Pharmacy or Grocery Store. Ellips cologne, I like this scent because it's just fresh. Careline powder, this is my sister's actually, which I took because she wasn't really using it often. Kate Rimmel Lipstick, well, red lipstick is handy when you're having a pale day. Johnson's baby powder, THIS IS A MUST YOUNG LADIES!, you don't wanna have a sweaty back or neck. And you can't expect that you can apply face powder cosmetic on your sweaty back, that's a no no. And a Ever Bilena brush for my face powder.

My wallet contains private things like cards and money (duh) and shitty receipts and instax photos. I always separate my paper money and coins, because I can't just put my coins on my wallet because it's two messy and heavy, so I bought a separated coin purse. A pen for writing some forms or maybe someone would need it and you can be considered as the nicest person on earth for lending it to him/her. And of course passports and tickets, those are mine and my sister Fharhana because I will be travelling with her, and take note, this is our freaking first time travelling together. I might just say that she will continually be my travel buddy. How's that sound Fhar! Exciting right! She's so excited and I'm just here chilling. Lol haha!

Canelar's Family Fried Chicken

So we went to Family Fried Chicken in Canelar for lunch which you might be familiar with if and only if you're in Zamboanga City as I am. But I'm not really sure if they actually franchise it in other places. Getting back to the topic, we had lunch at FFC (as others here call it). I have to be honest with you, we didn't plan this at all. It was boom "we're going to have some lunch outside". Especially that most of them only come to the city quite sometimes. So we ease the moment to be with them since it's their last day in the city and they're going back to the small island called Malusu just near Zamboanga City but it has 2hr ride by ship which is.. something.

What I liked the most about Family Fried Chicken (in Canelar) was their interior designing. I liked the Valentines theme, and their up-stairs tables, and kids playground. I don't quite see kids playground here in ZC in a restaurant, besides from Jollibee (in Sta. Maria) which is quite far away from the heart of the city so people doesn't tend to go there more often, so building a business near the heart of the city is a good idea which made my thumbs up. It is a very good venue so far I know in the city for family dinners or formal dinners with co-workers, bosses, or business stuff. Their food was delicioso as well. I really love their fish kikiam, in fact when I go there to grab some food.. the fish kikiam never come out of the way. I just love it so much.

After we build good memories in FFC, with all the laughters and catching up chitchats. We went to Paseo Del Mar to breathe some fresh sea air to relax ourselves and those yummies inside our tummy. Which will be on my next blog because I feel conscious that this might be a longer blog and I couldn't handle the pressure. Lol. I really had fun after all.

Summer 2014: Capture the moments

Hello! Hello!
My brother Mugs arrived yesterday here in Zamboanga City from Manila. I told him to buy me Instax Mini for his graduation gift for me, yes I'm demanding. But I wasn't expecting because I thought it was expensive and maybe he can't afford it. When he arrived at home, I was not speaking any word cause I was nervous to know if he actually bought it and be disappointed if he didn't but out of nowhere, he lend me a plastic bag (iTechie) and I knew from that moment that it was my Instax Mini. I screamed at him because in all honesty I was not expecting at all. So, Thank you so much to my brother, Mugrin!

As you have obviously noticed, it was sparkling with color pink. Honestly, I am not girly. But my brother thought I was, so he bought me: Pink Instax Mini 8, Pink little instax bag, and Pink polka dot instax film. I'm not a big fan of pink but it was completely okay with me because this is a dream come true. I will now capture and collect happy moments that will be happening soon in my life using my new Instax.

This is my new baby, I shall call it, Wanderlust.
Wanda for short!
(HAHA! I'm such a weirdo)
